A Farewell Cruise to a Chicago MINI Friend

Chicago MINI Motorers:

Someone who has been a member of the Chicago MINI scene since last summer is moving to the Washington DC area. Well I suppose you could say two friends. Deb (Nekowoman on the boards) and her beloved MCS “Sebby Binks” will shortly be moving out of the area. But instead of mourning the loss of a motoring friend a couple of us have decided to throw her a small farewell motoring party of sorts.

Admittedly this event is last second and probably not at the best time for some but we wanted to do something very informal and fun. Steve R. has worked out all the details:

Farwell Deb & Sebby Cruise
A chance to get together, have some ice cream and say goodbye to Deborah before she heads out to Washington DC area.

Where: Culver's of Buffalo Grove

When: Sunday June 8th
Meet at Culver's at about 7:00 P.M.

We will have a group meet the Plaza de Lago in Wilmette (the same place we met for the March drive) and head out together at 6:00. From there we'll head up Sheridan Rd and then west to Buffalo Grove. Hopefully people from other directions can find similar meeting places as well. If not we'll see you at Culvers!

To clarify – this is not a Chicago MINI Motoring Club event. We will hopefully be announcing something a bit more grand in the coming weeks regarding that. This is just a informal get together that all are welcome to attend. At the very least it'll all get us a chance to get out of the house and have some ice cream!

I will just be getting home from TN on Sunday afternoon, but will hurry home from the aiport, get the MINI, and motor on down if time allows.

We had a blast cruising out there with everyone and chowing down butter burgers and Ice Cream.. wish I could have seen Gabe stepping out on the slimy turn at the bottom of the Ravines on Sheridan (I only slid a little, but was going much slower)
