Shark Fin Attennas to be Standard in 2004?

I think this could be because they will have the Sirius sat radio option on all of them, right? As far as I know, sat radio uses those shark fin type antennas…

Hmm. Mine's got an estimated build date of 8/22, so it'll be interesting to see if I get the shark fin.

I didn't order the Sirius radio, and frankly, I think I prefer the “real” antenna over the shark fin.

If all the MINIs really had the shark fin antenna, it makes me wonder what cars these being built were then. Certainly they couldn't all be 2003 models with sat nav, and if I've understood correctly 2004 builds do not come along before Sep. Could it be then that the shark fins come earlier?

Shark fins as an option are nice, but I prefer the original atenna by far.

The Sirius satellite radio does not use the shark fin antenna. You get a new, slightly larger antenna base that looks just like the standard base. And the regular radio antenna screws into the top just like the standard base. I prefer the standard antenna over the shark fin by far. Would like to get Sirius but waiting to see if they're around next year. Hope so.

Does this mean the Radio Antenna will be in the passenger rear window as 'standard' as well. I just don't see the sense of putting the SharkFin on EVERY MINI.
