Bridger.us/MINI has learned that every dealer in the US will get 12 cars over the next six months. The first two or three should be produced this month and delivered in late March or early April.
And speaking of allocations and demand one of the local dealers in Chicago stated that they sold three MC40s within a couple days of this week's introduction.

Did they have any mark ups over the $27000 price tag? I let the manager of my dealership know about the car before he even new what I was taking about. i told him I want one. I have not heard anything yet about a price or deposit.

The dealer I'm speaking of is not marking them up – but then again from day one they've never marked up their cars.
