"Is JCW near that area?"
In US terms, yes. In England terms, no.
The MINI factory is in Oxford, about 3/4 hour north east of London.
John Cooper Works is on the south coast (near Brighton), an hour or so south of London.

In distance terms, Oxford to Brighton is about 110 miles.

I haven't been to "VEGAS" since my SCORE offroad racing days. The Mint 400 what a race.

One of my neighbors went to the Mini plant last year and tells me because they [Mini] are paying better than the local business' the town is hurting for workers. Is JCW near that area?......R

I imagine the SMART Pulse and Roadster are the same company:
http://www.smart.com

Only over for a few days this time, no time to see "The Tiger Lillies" or anything much!

(strange!)

Ian, did you happen to catch The Tiger Lillies while you were in England? I wish they would come to the USA/LA area.....R

Is the SMART Roadster made by the same poeple that make the SMART Pulse? I fell in love with those SMART cars in Paris a few years ago.

But of course my favorite small car is the Deux Chevaux (2 CV). The 4 wheeled bike with an umbrella. Especially with Peter Sellars driving it.

Nice pics Ian thanks for the tour.
I may have to go there when I travel to Gemany this year for the German Grand Prix......R

Yeah that's what I had heard as well. Someone from MINI put it to me this way - you just don't sell an accessory in the US that reduces the number of airbags in a car.

Thanks Gabe :)
I failed to get a picture of a couple of lounge chairs in the showroom that were built from JCW car seats - neat!
Unfortunately they tell me that you cannot get those seats in USA (no side airbags I think).

You should see the poster that Mike & I are holding (or more specifically, the signatures!)
