We have two MINIUSA documents. One is the package specifications and pricing and the other is individual option pricing for 2005. There's really nothing here that's new to MotoringFile readers (especially those that read this last Friday) but these PDFs should help for all those waiting for the MINIUSA configuator.

Cool Site! Do you know if the base price of the Cooper S is going to change if you order it with an automatic CVT? and if so, do you have any idea what the cost would be?

The MINI Cooper S Automatic will be a conventional unit and not a CVT like the Cooper offers. But in terms of price if I had to guess I'd say between $1200 and $1500.

Thanks for the info. Now I have another question. Do you know what the horsepower is for the 2005 Cooper CVT and the Cooper S (automatic)?

I'm trying to decide if I need the extra horsepower or if I should just go for the base Cooper.

Went in to place an order with the nearby BMW Mini dealer for a 05 Cabrio w/ premium package. Was expecting to have to pay MSRP after talking with this dealer for the past 60 days.. but was surprised when the dealer tacked another $1900 on top of MSRP at the bottom of the order form. I took back my deposit and told him to forget it. Let the ratcheting begin….

Is there anyone out there that has bought a MCS that can tell me if there is any negotiation room when you buy? I have been told that there is no negotiating room and that everyone pays the MSRP. Is that true or simpy something that salespeople are trained to say?

Matt….For the most part, there isn't much negotiating room. Sales personel will try to sell you 'packages', which is what they are supposed to do. My MCS this April came with the Union Jack and leather as the only 2 options I wanted, and I saved 2-3K…..Lovin' my ride!

hi there.ı have 2004 model mini cooper-s.ı see a gear called tri-phase which gains 15-20 hp to car…can ı use it for my copper-s?if ı can where can ı buy it(ı am from Turkey)…by the way where should ı install this…is it easy to install
