Its really annoying that all the other global MINI sites have the 2005 information up and you can build 2005 cars. MINI usa still only lets you build 2004s and no convertiables.

Had a talk with someone from MINIUSA about that lastnight. We're still looking at mid-August launch for the site updates.

Thats insane. Since dealers can order cars now, but can't show customers the colors.

It makes sense that neither MINI USA or MINI Canada have updated their websites yet. Think about the average consumer (not a car enthusiast) who views the MINI USA website and discovers that the 2005 MINI is now available. They rush down to their nearest dealer only to find out that there are no 2005s to check out, because the dealer won't be receiving their first 2005 shipment until August. It makes sense for the websites to be updated mid-August when the first 2005s start to hit the showrooms.

I just ordered a mini in Purple Haze Metallic, but the sites that have the 2005 colors listed show only a “Black Eye purple.” Is that the UK version of the same color? I really bought the color sight unseen as the best sounding color of the bunch.
