MINI Helps Owners Out of Traffic Tickets

This has got to be one of the coolest adverts from MINI yet (via Autoblog):

The minute car manufacturer MINI has taken out some full-page ads in major mainstream publications (like Car and Driver) featuring Krispy Kreme doughnut coupons, which are of the “buy one dozen, get one dozen free” variety. The copy reads: “Let's take out more than just our license and registration. Let's keep tasty, round, glazed, jelly-filled, chocolate covered friend makers on hand. Let's keep them on the front seat. Let's make sure they're hot. Let's have at least a dozen ways to get out of trouble.”…

Yep I noticed it in my Car and Driver (which MINI usually doesn't advertise in..but should!). Let it be known the coupons are legit. But they should remind you that you can use your glove box and heater to warm them up!

The funny thing is, I bought a dozen fresh Krispy Kremes to the MINI dealer when I took delivery back in May…stole my idea maybe? ;-)

Brilliant! After reading this item I flipped through my latest Car and Driver and sure enough, there's the ad.

I love it. And now I could really go for some Krispy Kreme donuts. Ah, good to be back in Virginia.

I would have mentioned that the seat heaters are the perfect way to keep that Hot Donuts Now sign glowing. :-)

And yes the coupons are legit, but I can't bring myself to cut them out!

…as I read this, an add for Crispy Creams came over the radio…wow. And, there is a Crispy Cream place not far from my office, perhaps too close.

I'm told by the way, that the glove box can act as a heater or cooler depending upon your food type, oh and, time of year. Honestly, Crispy Creams will not last long enough to cool down.
