Long ago I put my deposit down on a 2005 MINI Cooper S Convertble. At my local dealer I am #3 on the list. At long last MINI called 2 days ago and put my order in to my exact specs. Yay!!

I was just in Germany and saw 7 or 8 MINI Cabrios (Convertibles) and got to ride in one as well. German dealers have several Cabrio brochures while US dealers still don't have anything to show prospective Convertible buyers. Odd.

Right now most of the US dealers are still waiting for materials on the convertible. Each MA at our dealership has a brochure to show customers in order to help pick out options and colors. If you live or work near Long Island NY come check the convertible out on Sat July 24th.

Lauderdale MINI will host the convertible on 07/30, will toast it from 5-8pm. We will probably have it avail for viewing on Saturday 07/31 also If you are in So Fla stop by.

Just to let everyone know, there are NEW catalogs out there for the convertible!! I saw it yesterday at my dealer, they had one copy per MA but none the less it gives you a good idea of convertible and non convertible options and face lifts, much nicer than the previous catalog in my opinion!!

On July 30th, FT LAUDERDALE MINI in FL will have also a MINI Cabrio from 5pm till 9pm I believe for anyone living in South Florida!

Classic Mini is having a BBQ and picnic with the Cabrio from 11-4 at Lost Nation Airport in Willoughby. I'll be there…Hopefully I'll remember my camera.

Per my dealer, the convertible will be on display at the Gateway shopping center in downtown Salt Lake City next weekend (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday). We meet at last!!!

Those of us in the DFW area got to see the new convertible a few weeks ago. Very nice with some neat 'trick' features. Be sure it check it out when it's in your area.

I Bought a Mini Cooper S and I can tell you its the best money I have eveeer spent. It is the only way to drive. the car does cause you to have a lot of friends Lots of NYP Officers are making plans to buy one so go for it. Carl.
