The Checkered Flag Convertible Wind Deflector

Here come the Convertible Accessories!

This is one of the first I've seen; the checkered flag wind deflector. No word on availability or pricing yet, but I'm guessing the answers to these questions are months and a lot (in that order).

It's interesting. Is this something going to be offered by MINI dealers, or is this an aftermarket thing? I think MINI is brilliant for offering so many options to make your car so much more unique than your neighbors MINI. The stat I read on one of the MINI sites is that of 200,000 MINI's built, 2 are alike. Mathematically, I don't doubt that is true, but I am curious how many models are alike in the real world. Anyone seen an identical MINI to their own thus far? Identical right down to the mirror caps, driving lamps, etc. All right, don't worry, I'll say it. Yes, I know I am weird. :o)

Talking about MINI identical models, don't forget the stats will probably increase, because these are factory stats, and many people tend to make it more personal, tuning it afterwards! So I think it's impossible for any MINI owner to pass by another MINI owner with a 100% equal car…

Actually talking about the identical models subject, i read the other day in the Go Mini magazine, that 1 of each 100 minis is the real number for minis being customized by clients. That number is the dealer´s number, not neccesarily the building number

Hey, I tried the rear seat wind deflector today on my convertable, while cool, it did little to block the wind from occupants. It did however keep things from floating around the rear seat. 400 bucks.. I dont think so.
