2005 JCW Kit US Availability

I am going to start crossing my fingers now…

So in England it sounded like the first batch of JCW's were allocated for specific orders with new 05's.

Now, I can't go into the insane amount of luck I have had in my ordering process, but lets just say it has been a great start. Even if the car comes with only 3 wheels, I would still be pleased.

So, the car is just now on a boat. What are the chances that it is sitting next to some phat new JCW injectors meant for only him/her?

(I decided not to find out the sex until delivery. Still haven't painted the garage)

…I hope it will be out before the year is out. It would make a great gift for me to get my '05 MINI MCSc MCS by x-mas. Not to mention,the earlier story stated that the price for the kit would be cheaper.

while there's a chance the new kit could be cheaper, I doubt it. I think the cheaper kit the other story is referring to is for the MC not the MCS.

I just found out from my Father, that John Cooper and my Stepgrandfather were good friends back in the fifties and sixties. My Stepgrandfather used to watch John build his engines for the racing competitions… In some ways, you never know about your family history.

Just picked up my '05 Mini Cooper S, Hyper Blue, white bonnet stripes… Waited since June. Boy was it worth the wait. Not only is the wife happy as hell!!! As I sit here planning my day around the errands I could possibly run in it today, I have a few questions for you veterans, if you please wouldn't mind replying:

1. Any comment on the hands free bluetooth phone kit? I have a Motorola v600, the dealer spoke highly of it, as of course he would yet, does anyone here have one as well to provide me with their honest opinion prior to droping seven bills?

2. Most importantly… Anyone know the availability of the iPod kit in the US and its integration with regard to the stereo??? Somewhat curious in addition to its cost… I would prefer to avoid the 6 disc changer and go with the iPod connectivity instead given the # of songs on my iPod.

BTW, I plan on getting the JCW sooner than later. Seems like it could only add to the performance and fun of the ride similar to what you guys are mentioning. Thanks in advance. Regards, Joe W. Miami, FL.
