This month's GoMINI has an interesting article where they tour the John Cooper Works facilities in Sussex England. They also get a bit of insight into a future product for 2005:
“America didn't get the first Cooper Works Kit, but both there and in Japan the car has sold well. So we're tailoring a new kit which will be cheaper than the current one and help open these markets for us.”
We're assuming that he means the US didn't get the Cooper kit when it was first introduced in '02 since the kit was actually introduced last spring for the Cooper in the US. There's no word on when we might see this new kit however. Note: the above quote is referring to the Cooper JCW Kit and not the Cooper S JCW Kit.
