It was just a few years ago that MINI made its debut in the North American market with its popular little Cooper. At that time, less than 2 percent of Americans were aware of the MINI name-but with innovative marketing and a quality product, brand awareness has jumped to more than 60 percent.

At launch time it was hard to imagine this small car surviving in the land of large SUVs, but survive it has, and in a big way for such a small car.

Now the folks at MINI have created a convertible-adding more fun to an already fun-to-drive car. MSN Autos had the opportunity to take the new convertible for a drive in-where else-MINI-apolis, Minnesota (please pardon the MINI-spell).
