The 2005 Accessory Brochure and You

mini

MINIUSA has made some customer cars quite famous in the latest 2005 MINIUSA Accessory Brochure. Both the front and the back of the brochure feature names of real MINIs owned in the US. Quite a nice ode to the customer from a company that never ceases to amaze me.

You can check out a full scan of the brochure over at Sean Bartnik's MINI Motoring weblog. And if you look closely you might find your MINI on the inside pages posted over at gbmini.net. I did!

Congrats to Ian for making the cut with GBMINI.

For those wondering my MINI is not in there. See… I just can't bring myself to name a car. I know I know the MINI is different, but I just can't do it.

  • http://www.hyperbluemini.com Mike

Hehe, but Gabe your name is there on the back! ;)

  • Allan

Haha, Gabe's name IS on the back. Some of the names these people come of with are just darn creative and fun.

  • http://motoringfile.com Gabe

    Okay okay… my MINI's name isn't on there but… :)

  • Chris M

Hey, my Millie is on there!

Actually I have no idea if it's mine, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I did tell my MA the name once….

  • R50

Our car's name is on there. Quite a surprise – I had forgotten the name we gve it. I rechecked our MINIUSA owner's lounge resume to verify: Minimiller

  • mcswrks

How can I go about getting one of these!!! I remember posting a couple of times that I did not name my car any name, but simply called it “The MINI”, and low and behold, there it is! I have to have one of these…

  • Dave & Stacy

Crazy! Our sexy little JCW Cooper S “Molly” made the cut. She'll be so excited!

    You can email her at:

Old news ;) See Many Famous MINIs

Forgot to say – if you can find your MINIs name on the outside cover, the MINIs picture should be on the other side of the paper (so Bahn Mini” is top row front, second in from right – his MINIs pic should be top row inside front, second in from left)

  • Tim – Storm180

That actually bursts our bubble, Ian. There are a dozen or so Charlies on the MINI-usa pages. It gives us a little bit of an ego trip to think it might be our car. If we have proof that its not, it takes a bit of the fun away. Still a cool concept though

  • TR racing

My picture is on there too! Nice!

  • Little Bastard/SEEKER

Ian, On 13SEP02 took delivery of my black/dark silver MCS. Two weeks later applied black/red hood stripes myself along with “Little Bastard” on left rear quarter panel over tail light. Check “Italian Job” preview photos from Motoring File, Patrick MINI. Photos towards the end.

  • Vanwall

I had my Mini on the inside photo shots. Brooksie's in front of Babe the Blue Ox. Cool!

It's my Bessie! She's there with my friend Emily!

  • dickdavid

Scoot over Dave and Stacy, I'm driving a “Molly” too.

  • Luke

I just picked up my copy and its interesting to note that on the front page price list it mentions that the Aero Kit is now avalible pre-painted for $1700

  • Steve

I am not in the accessory catalog, but I am honored to make the MotoringFile Holiday Gift Guide (if you know exactly where to look and squint a little)

  • GrumpyGills

Does anyone have an electronic copy of the entire 2005 Accessory brochure? My 2003 copy (which I had to beg for) fell apart and my dealer just gave me the 'new' 2004 brochure. :(

  • http://www.gbmini.net Ian Cull

GrumpyGills, I can mail you a paper copy if you contact me …

  • Shep

Our “Max” is on the front cover! Great fun. Our car doesn't seem to be pictured inside, though, Ian… But I had written to MiniUSA last year about Max, enclosing press articles featuring him, so I like to think that's where they picked up his name. If there are multiple owners of the same name, let's share, and all claim the honor! Shep

For fun at lunch, I have listed all the MINI names – makes searching easier :)

  • Mimi

Hmmmm….my first Cooper was named Coopa and I've never seen anyone else call their Cooper that but a pic of the girl is just not there.

  • http://techblot.blogspot.com Nick

I just ordered a 2005 MINI accessories brochure, how weird…

  • Charles

My 2005 MCS (with limited slip differential) is on order.

I've picked two names, Angus if it's a boy or Bonnie if it's a girl.

My question now is, how do you sex a Mini?

  • http://www.gbmini.net Ian C.

Charles, Warning … over 18s only! You may find an answer to your question here!

  • GrumpyGills

    Ian,

I received the 2005 MINI accessory brochure today.

Much appreciated! It's a first rate piece. My Canadian dealer doesn't have anything (current or otherwise) that comes close to the spirit of MINI that this has.

We're counting sleeps now til the 'baby' comes.

    • Grumpy
  • Guymen

    i am here ooo

  • John

    I wasn’t here.
