The MINI_Motion watch (we reviewed last summer) has just been awarded a Bronze in the IDEA/BussinessWeek 2005 design award. Here’s an excerpt from the article:
The MINI_motion watch features a digital display that changes from horizontal to vertical, ergonomically facilitating easy reading when the wrist is in-line with the user’s vision whether riding a bike, walking or driving.
…The product sold-out quickly and is currently in its second production run. Based on the product’s success, MINI plans to release additional MINI_motion watch styles and sizes in 2005.

Does anyone have a part number for these Watches? European Dealers don’t sell them, but have said if we can supply a part number, they would be able to order them in.

For you Chicago folks: “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?”

“Does anybody really care?”

Well typically I care what time it is in Chicago.

It should also be pointed ot that the Mini Motion website/graphics won, as did the Mini convertible.

Personally I would have preferred non-leather bands, especially in MINI colors. The watch still does not seem MINI to me. Innovative, yes. But they don’t have the MINI spirit.

The band is actually not leather.

Gabe, you’re right. It’s been a while since I read your review from last year. I read the OutMotoring.com description, which lists it as having a leather band.

It would be sweet if this watch used modern LEDs.
