A little off-topic but does anybody know if Mini will release other racking equipment (e.g. a ski rack) that works with the Sport Link? I have to get a rack fitted to my MCS that arives in October as i go biking and sking quite often. Even though i cant justify the price tag on the Sport Link, getting the roof drilled for the standard racking system sounds cruel to me for a new car. What do you guys think and suggest?

I wish Mini actually had three different colors. Something other than “generic, blending-into-the-pavement shade of gray” and red. Maybe a light, metallic blue, or perhaps a cheerful yellow?

I am often pretty vocal here when i don’t like something, but I also speak up when MINI does something right. I like these decals. Overpriced perhaps, but I think they look good. They don’t scream out “Type R”, they just say “no nonsense sport.” Though I think they won’t match up well with every color option.

Yeah I would say the price is very fair comparatively. For some reason people seem to love to attack JCW/MINI on pricing of every product it comes out with.

Actually, I like that checker style, and have asked the two major mini decal company how much they for them to make it. One quoted for close to $100 and the other one more than $200. So, $80 is not that bad. Just my opinion.

Had this option been offered in Europe only I think the opinions would have been alot different. The JCW is to expensive, the new rear wing is hideous, the new colors are to drab.. Lets remember these are all options.
