This news comes from our friends a the Phil Wicks Ultimate Mini Driving Academy:

The Phil Wicks Ultimate Mini Driving Academy announces the North American Mini Championship Race Series. Four events have already been scheduled with more to come. The events scheduled are:

These races will be done in conjunction with the Phil Wicks Ultimate Mini Driving Academy on-track instructional events.

We are very excited about these developments and hope that you and your members can take advantage of an event near you!

In addition to plans for next year, Phil has also released information on a very special event at Laguna Seca this December:

You know, if MINI decided to make a car like the original Mini Marcos, It would just dilute the brand and take away from the heritage.

Actually it would. Marcos is a separate company and has been in and out of receivership quite a bit. Currently I think they are…hmmm…out??

What is a “roll hoop”? I’m wondering if I could drop one into my STX car and go at it on June 29. Hmmm…

I am planning on going to the MINIMeet 2006 anyway, (I have been two years in a row and won a 3rd place autocross trophy this summer) so this is just an added bonus. :)
