All I can say is WOOOOOOOW!!! That engine can really take some abuse. Even with some technicalities 12.5 from a single cam is very respectable. Can't wait to see it in the tens. I wonder how it would perform with an Ogura Rotary Supercharger mated to that setup. Congrats go to all wizards that made a beleiver out of me.

I was there on Saturday so I did not get to see this run. Pictures and video do not do the car justice, you have to see it in the flesh.

Great job by MINI USA and FTR for blazing new trails. Kudos especially to MINI USA for lending not insignificant support. And Jeff Stracco is a credit to the MINI image.

Watching this run live, I just stood there in awe. Quick thinking allowed me to snap the pic showing the time.

MINI owners would've been filled with pride watching the usually-bored crowds descend upon this MINI during the simple Tech Inspection!

There is a former cooper S owner from Long Island who bragged that time at Elizabethtown- without all the hoopty doo.

Now i can say that the wet roads on the video killed the possible timing that would have made my mouth drop.

Yeah the car has tons left in it, that was just a shakedown. That car easilly has a 10 in it when its completly dialed in.

Part that was edited out was some expletives about the missed shifts. Still an impressive first run I think.

After watching the video, it seems like the shifts aren’t the quickest, and there’s some popping/hesitation in third gear. It seems there’s lots of room for improvement. This car will be going in the tens before too long I bet…
