Yeah Ian C – why a country that has only a few warm fine days a year ever invented the convertible is an enigma. Unless it is because that when the sun does shine they take their tops off and scream down the road in sheer bliss… but then as the old song by Mamas and Papas goes – “It never rains in California, but man let me warn ya, it pours, man it pours!” So what were the sales figures Top sellers comparison? It would be good to see how MINI rated alongside Mazda MX5 Miata and all those other Europe jobs.

I wonder if there’s still some animosity among classic owners towards new MINIs in the UK. MINIs seems to be doing quite well over there, and I see more and more pics of classics and new MINIs co-habitating at various UK events. I do hope the ill-feelings have subsided somewhat.
