I really like the Z4 in any bright color. It shows up in my MINI’s rearview mirrors better when I fly by some geezer draggin arse.

We got our MINI S (convertible) in a brilliant purple with white stripes and orange/blue cloth seats. If I may say so, it looks fantastic! We think it jazzes up the Boston landscape pretty well. And it sure is unique...

Of course, your tastes may vary. But why do we Americans always seem to settle for shades of black, gray, white, and - oooh - red? When the great looking MINI is decked out, it looks just as striking as can be (without the same old spoilers or other stuff that wants to be cool and nonconformist, and just isn't).

It's a fun and playful car. Why can't we let the colors reflect that?

The roofs come in white/black/silver/body color (11?) that’s about 15 different colors for the roof. At least in the U.S. YMMV in other countries.

REAL BRG is nothing like BMW’s interpretation. And it certainly doesn’t deserve to be metallicized to add insult to injury. REAL BRG would have been something.

Instead of bringing out more colours, how about giving more options.

Its madness that you can only pick different colour roofs on coopers and coooper s'. And why only black or white. Why not silver, or any other colour within the palette.

Matte black looks great on the new Civic Type-R http://www.autoblog.com/2006/05/19/spy-shots-honda-civic-type-r/

Would look good on a new Bangled 5er or Lexus IS, too, with their superflouos stealth fighter curves.

Only one mention of Pepper White in this whole long thread! Now I know that my Pepper White 2005 MCS JCW is just the right color. Under the radar, even among Mini afficionados! Cops don’t seem to see it either. And with the black roof, it really does look good. Keep that color combo. (PS don’t DON’T make a matte finish Mini!!!! Please))))))) – Steve

We bought 3 Mini “Launch” editions when they came out in Canada in 2002. Chili Red, Indi Blue and Light silver with a Black roof. The one that stands out the most in the rainstorm,is the Chile Red. How can anyone look at that color and not smile? It just says fun, intrique and playful. Hope Mini improves the sound deadening and also improves the tire quality,because all of ours have had terrible tread noise by 25,000 k’s. Ended up replacing the run flats,with Goodrich tires that are much, much quieter and a hell of a lot cheaper. My Indi Blue was the first one in our city in April 2002. Felt like I was driving a huge bill board that said Look At Me!. The attention the car got was life altering, and I called it my CHICK magnet. Still love it to bits and will be very hard to part with down the road….but a Turbo might just be the right combo to make me think about it. Hate the whine of the Supercharger. Had 2 Saabs with Turbos and loved the rush. Can’t wait to see what Mini comes up with for 2007! Don

Just came back to this because it was linked from another thread. I'd actually be curious to learn what you think would distinguish an OEW from Pepper White. That is in fact a lot like classic OEW's, i.e. white with a lot of yellow mixed in. Put even more yellow in PW, and you'd get too close to Liquid Yellow :)

Actually, I think PW is Mini's "trendy" name for Old English White. They could have called it OEW, but that wouldn't really match up with Mini's trendy image :)

For me the OEW MC with the Checkmate interior would be sweet.

Yes, the MiNi is a FUN car. Yes, most colors are rather un-FUN… and, they get rid of the sweet colors. Electric Blue is what I have & is still my favorite… it no longer exists! They do have too many shades of grey & (dull) blue. The orange sounded like a nice idea, but it’s too dark… the Nissan Murano has the best shade of accessible orange. Lotus Elise HAS the best Orange though. MINI shoul get BRiGHT!!! Come out with “Sun-Kissed Orange” (a bright metallic orange, like the Lotus Elise), “Sunburst Yellow” (a fine bright metallic yellow like the old Mazda RX-7 had ~15yrs back), “Plum Crazy Purple” (a bright purple with large metallic flakes) & “Gremlin” or “Lime Green” (a bright metallic/nonmetallic bright green). No more BORING colors. Thank you!

I know this is more of a 'color wishlist' than a discussion on paint finishes, but I have a '67 Mustang that I'm trying to paint it matte black with gloss black stripes, but I have had a hell of a time trying to find any place that does matte (or even satin) finishes. This is the closest place I've found on the web, and I was wondering if any of you guys have had success in finding a place that'll do it or a auto paint company that mixes matte paint.
