MotoringFile Aero Kit Specials

05

We’ve got two MotoringFile advertisers running some great specials this week on Aero Kits.

Aerokit Deal #1 (for the Cooper only)

Morristown MINI is selling MINI Cooper (not the S!) factory painted aero kits for $840. The same kit that retails for $1700!

To order just go to Morristown MINI’s site (here) and use this special MotoringFile reader login info:

Username: Guest_from@motoringfile.com
Password: gabe

Once you’re logged in look at the bottom left and click on “MotoringFile Specials”. There you’ll see the different colors available. One important thing: In the comment section make sure to leave your first, last name, shipping address and email. It’s imperative you do this otherwise they won’t know where to send the shippment.

Aerokit Deal #2 (for the Cooper S only)

The fine folks at Knauz MINI have an Aero kit offer of their own. They have a few remaining units Cooper S kits in stock (without PDC) and are offering them to MF readers installed and painted for only $1500. That means you show up, pay $1500, and drive away. This deal is only available at Knauz (located 30 minutes north of Chicago). Give the Knauz Parts counter a call at 847.604.5050 and ask for the MotoringFile Aero Kit special.

Hey Gabe! Any pull with west coast dealers?

ReplyReply
Gabe Jan 29th, 2006 Link

DWF – Currently there are no west coast dealers sponsoring MotoringFile so the answer would have to be no. Certainly some opporunity there if one wants to step up to the plate though.

I am almost sold on the MCS KIT. But I am in NYC! Gabe: Do you know if the kit could be mailed painted to my address? Is it a nightmare to install? thank you, david

Ok I made up my mind. I am buying it. Went to check my car outside. (decided to park outside the garage for the day) just noticed a nice bumper scratch brought to you buy a nice New yorker. if you didn’t know this already 90% of all NYC cars have a nice scratches along their bumpers because when park they dont usually care to hit your ride. Anyways, I am buying it and will leave them in storage until spring. Thanks for the promo Gabe. BTW: went to link and there’s no mention of this offer. have a nice sunday.

does the aero kit actually serve any functional purpose or is it purely an aesthetic accessory?

what is PDC?

ReplyReply

PDC = Parking Distance Control

Hold on a second. The link is for morristown NJ. That is just right next to NYC?? Please Help. d

ReplyReply
Gabe Jan 29th, 2006 Link

Yes… NJ is to the left of NY :-)

There are two specials here. One that has aero kits for Coopers and that has them for only Cooper S’s.

ReplyReply
fdavid Jan 29th, 2006 Link

Thanks again Gabe. The only thing is it seems they only have certain colors. ie: no Jet Black :( I’ll give them a call tomorrow. PS: Does the offer need to be placed over the website?

Wow! What a deal!

I wonder what a CR Aero kit would look like on a VR MINI ;)

ReplyReply

ReplyReply

whats the diff between the cooper and the S aero?

ReplyReply
ahamos Mar 8th, 2006 Link

Morristown MINI unceremoniously cancelled my order today for a CR Cooper Aero Kit. I ordered it on Saturday, the 4th, and got my notice today that the part is no longer available.

What infuriates me is that the link from motoringfile still works, they still let you place the order, supply credit card information, and then wait in limbo for days before letting you know your dreams have been crushed.

Not only does the link from motoringfile still work, but if you simply go to their Accessories home page, you see the same advertisement (for $850).

“The Fine Print” says I cannot make derogatory comments, so I’ll allow you all to imagine the comments going on in my head right now. They’re not friendly.
