I like the stitching, roof and yes denim seats would be cool. I would need a lot of scotch guard to have that here in Seattle.

Well, at least you wouldn’t ever have to worry about washing it. Think of the time you’d save over the years. Rust woul probably just enhance it’s charm ;)

In the description of the car (on ebay) they actually pointed out that the car has 2 "roofs": 1) the original MINI Cabrio textile soft top and 2) the jeans cover which CAN BE ATTACHED over the regular top.

And yes, it is much better that last yearÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Life Ball MINI.

…personally…I love it. It’s has the essence of what MINI is about: Being Original. Isn’t that one of the major reasons we purchased our MINIs in the frist place. Besides,guys…to parapharse a famous line,from The Rolling Stones movie:”…it’s so ugly,that it’s appealing.”

I really like the look of this MINI. Like that copper accent color, especially on the pepper white. Love the "distressed" top too.

Well..it does look very Diesel, I will give them that. I actually kinda dig the color combo, but wished they hadn’t put the white stripes on the cabrio roof. And it’s a lot better job than the hideous Versace MINI last year (I think it was her, can’t remember).

Chris – I have to ask…my wife is a shoe designer and is always on the lookout…any openings there at Diesel?

Erm, its actually a Cooper Cabrio designed by Diesel - Only The Brave. The car is petrol engined, not an oilburner.

I'm with NS in NE on this one. Wouldn't drive it, but it certainly is unique and individual.

That seems to be the perfect city car – diesel for great fuel economy, and dialed in hoopdie looks for theft prevention. You could leave it parked anywhere without worry of door dings, and you wouldn’t ever have to wash it.

I’ll be a decenting voice on this one – there’s a lot about it that I like. Putting the “distressed” look on the paint-work is over the top, but I like the little details like the faux stitching on the body seems and replacing the chrome bits with what I can only assume is the metal color of the rivets on their jeans. I think the denim top is awesome, but I also think they’ve missed out on not doing a denim interior. Imagine two-tone denim seats and a denim-wrapped dash to match complete with tags and rivets. That’d be sweet.

It’s also worth noting that this car, like the many we’ve seen before it, is for a specific event for publicity. So I think of it as even more temporary and “don’t sweat it” than a concept car. It’s interesting, that’s enough for me. I wouldn’t drive it, but I don’t hate it either.
