Fifth Gear Reviews the GP

They may not get the power figures right (who has) but they do a good job taking us through the ultimate factory MINI. Here’s an excerpt:

In GP form, the Mini feels even more vibrant than the regular Cooper S. Maybe it’s the reduction in sound deadening, perhaps it’s the weight loss and perhaps (just perhaps), it’s the four extra horsepower (ed: yes that should be eight), but the GP feels tangibly more alert than a regular Cooper S. The small-car feel and agility is enhanced – look over your shoulder and there are no plus-two seats, just some luggage space in front of the hatchback rear – while the new, GP-unique Recaro seats are more huggable than the usual chairs too.
