We recently came across a MINI UK document outlining a limited number of changes to the MINI range from September production onwards. It’s assumed that the options deleted will relate to both the current MINI convertible (which will remain in production relatively unchanged for two more years) and the completely new 2007 MINI coupe. It’s unclear if options not mentioned will indeed be available on the R56. However, we’re almost certain that the changes mentioned here will effect worldwide production as well. Naturally we should know much more in the weeks and months ahead. You can download the PDF below:

Hmmm – interesting… although the fact that the MINI convertible (still being the “older” design) will come standard with the Aux input now suggests the possibility that all 2007+ coupe/hatch models will have aux input as standard (i.e. built into the new head units)… just a thought!
I think you may be onto something 😉
I thought there was going to be a USB port for MP3 players?

As long as I can have my Corboba Beige when I order my MCSc, I’ll be happy. Quite sad to see Lapis Blue leave…
Does this apply to all MINIs or just the ones that will be sold in the UK?
I am confused…option code ‘420’ – tinted windows – no longer available????????? Someone please help me understand that…..it’s gonna get mighty hot in those Sept build Coopers with non-tinted windows….
