Laser Blue is the Teal looking color. Lightning Blue appears to be a shade or two lighter than Indie Blue, but looks promising.

I would also like some more looks at the Lightning Blue. I am sure we will get that opportunity next month.

When viewing the exterior features for the ‘S’ select one of the options from the bottom menu (ie.radiator grille). Then click on the spinning square highlighting said ‘radiator grille’ in the main picture above. A larger image of the grille should appear on what I believe is the lightning blue.

Nice car overall (I think, I need to see it to be sure). When oh when will we get to see one in person?

question about the Sports Button. Why would you want to ever not have it on?

You’d probably not want to have it on while driving on the highway as it will make the car a bit more darty.

They move down, apparently. Go to the Cooper S, it makes comparisson the most convenient. In the interior view, it has the standard speedo with integrated controls. There is only a small knob between de CD slot and the wing-logo AC controls in the center console. Now go and click on either the speedo or the center console, on both of the screens you get the nav speedo is featured. Hey presto, the small knob has been replaced by a cluster of controls, which I’m guessing are some of the controls otherwise in the speedo. (But those screens also suggest that the nav allows access to some ICE functions).

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll go and pray for an option that allows you to clean up the center speedo by moving those controls down as when the nav is fitted (don’t want nav, but I might be forced to take it if I would ever get another Mini just to get rid of those integrated controls :) ).

Keep in mind that is in Imperial Gallons. You need to divide each of those figures by 1.2 to get the mileage in U.S. gallons.

Also, even with the U.S. gallon conversion factor, that may or may not be a number that will be representative of what the MINI will be rated at for the U.S. market once the mileage is tested by U.S. standard practices, so don’t go comparing the 1.2 figure to the EPA rating just yet.

That is the UK scale – not quite what we go by for the US. Ours will be lower. There’s was a story last week about what to expect.

MCS: 31.7mpg urban; 49.6 extra-urban; 40.6 combined

Can this be real? WOW!

Let me see: accelerates like a slingshot, handles like a go-kart, and gets superior gas mileage, all for $25k or so. And I thought there’s no way I wouldn’t be keeping my 2005 MCS EB with Nav for a few more years!
