On the issue of BMW getting people in the door to drive the car but not buying one I'd say they need to look at their dealerships and how they treat their customers. I was insulted terribly by the manager of a BMW dealership several years ago and vowed right then and there that I would never buy one of their cars. Prior to that I was ignored totally at two other dealerships who I guess assumed I wasn't worthy to have one of their cars. So, while the status seekers who drive their cars may have given the brand a snooty image, the dealerships themselves perpetuate that image and I think their lack of decent customer service attitude likely costs them as many sales as anything. Go to an Infiniti dealer and they treat you like royalty. I assume Lexus is the same.</p> good show.
