It's obviously aimed at the generation of guys who loved Knight Rider back in the day (of which I am an enthusiastic member - loved that show). It's got enough production value to be worth watching, but doesn't take itself too seriously. And best of all, as is always my demand for good advertising, it's about the product - the performance and personality of the MINI. And giving a MINI not just aesthetic personality, but actual (ala Knight Rider) personality. Furthermore, the Knight Rider allusion lends some super hero street cred to our favorite little car.
