A MINI What?

This from GermanCarScene.com.

Benedikt Schiermeyer carried out the work for a customer, and even though it’s not what we’d do to a Cooper S, we have to admire his skills.

Personally, I’ve always been a fan of the El Camino. But if MINI does make a truck again, I’m hoping it looks more truck-like and less Subaru Brat-like.

Thanks to everyone for sending this in.

Ahh, Germancarscene. These are the same guys that decided the Mini Clubman was “totally pointless”.

We’ve seen a load of these in Vegas. Red Bull uses them. It’s just like the one above, only it has a cover over the bed and a huge can of red bull in it.

Here is a pic… click here

That link got all goofy. Just do a google search for Red Bull MINI and you’ll find it.

Slick build. Nice touch w/the rear wiper.

    Long live the cruck!

  • Jimbo

I do like the rear wiper. I hope it gets built. with AWD , of course…

I hope Mini will come out with a truck sooner or later like they did years ago.

  • Jon

Benedikt Schiermeyer did a much better job with the modification then the hideous chop job on the Red Bull minis. Although I personally think this is terrible thing to do to a mini have to say the way Benedikt moved the rear forward is much more attractive than Red Bull just wacking everything behind the pillar. Props to the owner though on taking a mini further on modification than I have ever dreamed of lol.

Cool! Just enough storage space to fit a lunchbox cooler and a bag of chips!

    Pretty pointless pickup modification…

It’s not a MINI design so it’s not worthy of his derision.

The redbull truck is useful – the bed of the truck has refrigerated chests full of redbull.

  • Eric

Cool idea, but silly at the same time. Not that I would do this to a MINI, but if I did, I would have gotten a tailgate hatch from a convertible and integrated that instead. It would be easier to get the keg or ice chest into the back then.

  • O(=^=)O Capn

    Robble, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Kypt

Totally pointless, but I want one. I really hope they offer a MINI pickup from the factory some day. I’ll be first in line to order one.

  • Tom

So we’re one step further down the road to total anarchy. It’s not that I mind the truck mod. It’s really pretty well done, but they put black bonnet stripes with a white roof. It’s total madness.

frankinmiami has as much right to opine on the R56 design as you do, Robble.

I’d like to see a longbed version of it. :-)

And I believe he just started making his opinion known. Isn’t that right Frank?

  • GadgetGav

I’m with Eric. Why not use the back end of a convertible and have a drop down tailgate too..?

  • Roscoe

the service manager at MINI YALETOWN owns one.. they are modded for RedBull world wide by a company in California..
