MotoringFile & Whiteroofradio Named Official Podcast & Editorial Sites of MINI United

MU Banner

The wait is over. Today we can finally announce the news that we’ve been alluding to for weeks. MotoringFile and Whiteroofradio have been named by MINI as the official podcast and news coverage sites of MINI United. That means we’ll be on the ground in Germany and Zandvoort with all access passes bringing you the latest in word, sound and video from what will surely be the largest MINI event ever. We’ll also be podcasting and blogging in the days and weeks leading up to the event on MF, WRR and the official MINI United weblog.

Here’s a quick look at our itinerary. First up, I’ll be heading over a few days early to explore Germany while blogging and podcasting about my experiences. This will include a trip to the Nürburgring Nordschleife where I’ll be meeting up with a local MINI club and possibly even experiencing a MINI race car on the ‘Ring.

Eventually I’ll make my way to Munich where I’ll join another local club on their way to the Netherlands and finally MINI United. With laptop and video recorder in-tow I’ll be documenting the trip as much as possible.

Db and Todd will be flying into the Netherlands a few days early to get a lay of the land and take a MINI road trip of sorts to Berlin and back – all while joining local MINI clubs on their way to Zandvoort. Once in Zandvoort Todd and DB will be setting up the WRR studio tent on site at Circuit park in the Festival Plaza.

Once at MINI United we’ll set-up shop at the official WRR/MF tent where we’ll be broadcasting live podcasts and meeting as many people as we can. We’ll also be roaming the grounds interviewing MINI owners from around the world, all while taking in the countless activities scheduled throughout the four days.

It’s going to be an incredible experience that we can’t wait for. It’s been hard keeping it all under wraps this long… I’m not sure we could have held out another week.

Be sure to stay tuned to Whiteroofradio and Motoringfile for more updates as the event gets closer, as well as almost live updates from the event once it’s underway! If you haven’t already, now would be a great time to subscribe to the feed from WRR (RSS or iTunes) or Motoringfile (RSS – Full posts) to get all the updates as soon as they become available. And make sure to bookmark the MINI United section within MotoringFile for a concise listing of all MINI United news.

Congrats guys, quite a honor to be selected by Mini to be doing this. Makes perfect sense that this is going to happen, Motoringfile/WRR is one of the best sources for this type of coverage.

Hope you guys have a blast and can’t wait to hear/read on all three sites about the event.

  • Vanwall

Hah! I was right – how effing fantastic! Smuggle me along in your carry-on? You guys were first-class on MTTS, so I’ve plenty of confidence you’ll wow ‘em. Hey, have a fantastic time, and remember, rubber side down.

  • VMMVMMM

That’s pretty cool! Not what I was anticipating, I suppose, but sure wish I was in your place! I’ll be in Amsterdam and Germany a month prior to you, so I’ll warm it up for you.

Any plans for a Eurotrip-like motoring badge? Man, I’m so jealous!

  • Nathaniel Salzman

Wow! Congrats indeed guys! That’s such a great surprise. I for one didn’t care a whole lot about MINI United last time since it was so far off – but with you guys there doing all the coverage it’s going to be really cool to keep up with all the goings on.

If you’ve got video capabilities Gabe, we’d love to see you tearing ass around the ‘Ring. Just watch out for the mud!

Cheers guys, and congrats again. You three are such a pivotal part of the community it’s only right that you go to events like this. Rock on!
