Who cares about the factory aero as long as the JCW looks so nice. Not to suprised that they are working on the dark chrome, as they recently used it on the million Mini with lots of comments about it. Wouldn't be to suprised if they use it, no more difficult than standard chrome.

I think there's some confusion here and I'm guessing the aerokit that every hates is indeed the factory "MINI" branded kit.

I understand that there was an overwhelming "thumbs down" by the dealers, regarding the aero kit, at the R56 unveiling in Arizona. From what I understand, as a result of the negative opinions, MINI was going back to the "drawing table" on this.

Not in my experience. Almost everyone I've spoken with has given the JCW aero kit (only one in AZ) thumbs up.

The almost universal impression of the factory aero kit has been thumbs down. Its only saving grace is that it costs less than half the installed price of the JCW kit.($900 if you subtract $500 for the sport suspension with the HS pack or $1300 individually)

The factory aero kit was not at the AZ unveiling.... at least, I never saw it. All I saw was the JCW one.

however we’ve not got confirmation

I gather this should be "however we've now got confirmation"?

I'd love to see pictures of this. If it's not available until '08 how did three roll off the line?

Retrofit?

Fantastic to hear that its going to be an option on all models, I am sure that the Clubman will have pleanty to set it apart, but I believe this option is going to be very popular choice.

I actually believe the Clubman will have a very simular layout to that of the R56. Since only a section has been added in the middle with no changes to the front of the cabin for the sake of manafacturing ease the layout is going to be common components.
