Awesome Three Amigos reference!
ReplyWe’ve got plethora of R56 iPod related PDFs for you today. Because of different configurations of MINI’s new sound-system, there are several official PDFs detailing the installation of the new iPod adapter. However it’s worth noting that all of these instruction include an ECU update (only available at the dealer) in order to let the MINI’s computer know about the new installation.
But once installed, this adapter is one of the best out there – especially with the optional navigation system.

Ok so which is the Mini HiFi? Not sure if I have boost or wave… Also how do you know if you have the cd changer prep?
ReplyOf course, you could always just install your own iPod adapter, using the stock head unit, and save yourself lots of cash.
I did, and I couldn’t be happier. Nothing controls the iPod better than the iPod itself. Here’s my install guide. MINI iPod Install
ReplyHey Michael, This is for R56 MINIs which yours is not. Your solution will not work for them
