Marc - if you go to my Flickr page and then to the "Germany 2007 (Day 2) set you can just click on the image and then click on "all sizes". From there you can download it.

Very good. The R56 looks much better in Astro Black for some reason. Have fun with it but I have a feeling this one will only last another couple of years until the Stage II factory JCW S is launched.

You may say that you will never let go of this one. But a few months ago you also said that you will never let go of your R53 either....

Hey Paulsminis – only in some countries do they have white blinkers in front. Old Mini UK market always had orange front lenses. The reason is that UK markets had a sidelight in the main headlamp. A bit like BMW E30. Most lights on side panels are orange. This distinguishes them from sidelights/park lights which some people use.

Ah. At night. So it’s black is it? ;-) Good to see it made it, as I always cross my fingers until I’m behind the wheel. I still remember seeing a new ‘Vette fall off the top deck of a transporter at the dealer – while the owner was there watching. Very low ride after it landed upside-down.

Sorry if this was already covered, but what happens with installation cost for VDC installed options (e.g. JCW aero kit, iPod adapter)? If the dealer installs them, you pay their hourly rate. What about VDC installation?

It varies from dealer to dealer. But I can tell you the dealer pays a flat rate when having things installed at the VPC. Hopefully they pass that benefit onto the customer.

I’m glad they made the turn signals yellow. I think that the turn signals should always be a different color than the brake light. It seems that more and more cars today have the rear turn signals in red.. or even worse… no separate turn signal at all…the brake light just blinks when the turn signal is activated. Horrible.

Front turn signals can legally be white.

Not everywhere, however, amber front signals are legal just about everywhere (Don't know where they wouldn't be) so it's much simpler to make them amber.

But why does it NEED to be yellow?

It only "needs" to be amber if he wants the amber light :-)

Why are the bulbs yellow?

That's just the way it comes from MINI, which ships the car worldwide with yellow bulb behind clear lens or clear bulb behind yellow lens. Change the bulb if you want something different from the OEM.
