Yeah, the rear seat legroom is noticeably more in the Clubman. Of course, by the time I actually got a chance to sit in one I was alone, so I had to adjust the front seat for my grand 5'6" stature and then crawl in the back seat. But I could definately tell a difference.
Oh, one thing I haven't mentioned that perhaps others have noticed... Both days I was at Frankfurt I noticed that when people got out of the back seats using the club door, they often hit their head on the small protrusion where the door latchs to the roof. I myself did it and while it's semi-padded by the headliner, it IS annoying. As a matter of fact, it was one of only 2 or 3 things that I didn't "like" about the Clubman :-)

Aurel is right. Read the short paragraph before the pictures.

"You can clearly see the difference between the boot space and leg room of the Coupe vs. the Clubman"

As stated in the paragraph, the seats of the coupe and clubman were adjusted to the same position to fit a 6'4" individual and that same person then got in the back as shown in the pictures. In the clubman photos, the rear seat passenger's legs are straight. In the Coupe the front seatback is in the rear seat passengers lap. Three inches is a lot as us tall people know from flying on the airlines!

Why do I bother trying to explain? If people are not going to read the article before commenting, they are not likely to read this comment either!

The bulldog has been available from MINI dealerships for a long time ...

And I agree with MauiMac, the pictures don't suggest "rear leg room" to me!

I guess when you are 6ft4in tall coach class can be a wee bit cramped!
Love that toy bulldog - is this for sale? Also love the Surf blue colour car with the surf board.
Was that Bubbles the Chimp at the beginning?

"...these photos illustrate the much improved leg space for back seat passengers..."

??? Isn't the last few pictures showing the LACK of leg space for back seat passengers?

That extra space looks nice. That said we took a driving vacation in our coupe with three people this year and it was no problem.
