Isn't that the truth. Maybe I can sell one of the six (yes, MINI sent us SIX!) completely worthless (to me anyway) MINI Motoring Welcome Kits. They're absolutely chalked full of trash that's bound to be someone else's treasure. [GRIN]

You are probably correctÃ¢â‚¬Â¦. However, I'd still rather see something useful (that would fall under the "advertising" category) such as a discount coupon that can be redeemed for OEM accessories, MINI brand clothing items, etc. instead of absolutely useless/frivolous stuff like this (and what's been sent to our house over the years). I'll admit that it adds a certain quirkiness to the brand name, but at least make it something worthwhile. Sheesh!

Let see, there's a marketing budget and an engineering budget.

This initiative would be paid for by the marketing folks, not the engineering folks... And if the marketing folks don't get money to market the cars - then the engineering folks don't get the money to develop the cars...

Now, is this the best usage of MINIUSA's marketing dollars? That's a whole other question...

I got my email thinking it was something really cool. Imagine my disappointment when I found out it was just silly things like flipping the side around so everything was backwards. Wow, I’m underwhelmed. I found the old mini-helicopter and floating paper more engaging, at least they had a purpose. I feel like I’d appreciate this stuff more if I were a heck of a lot younger…like five.

I’m sorry, but MINI really shouldn’t waste money on this kind of silly stuff. I’d rather see the money (and man power) be put to better use like further improving upon the cars, etc. I realize that some folks like this kind of stuff, but come on now. Enough is enough! I can’t tell you how much worthless crap we have sitting around the house that has been sent to us by MINI USA. Oy!
