I think yourself, DB and Todd should each buy one and start a series of your own! Better yet, MINI USA should donate you a car each as a way of getting the community interested. I could think of worse ways for them to spend their money.

I’m from New Zealand and we have a total population (all cities) of just over 4 million people. I think most of the major cities in the US have more people than that…so it does somewhat surprise me that NZ can have a MINI Challenge series but the US cant yet put one together.

Of of the reasons is that many casual “racing fans” here don’t care about anything other than Nascar. If they can’t sit in the stands and see their favorite rotating billboard the entire time they could care less.

So much of the money and interest gets sucked up by “stock car” racing.
