Does MINI have any plans for a targa top for future models (perhaps a MINI roadster / convertible style)?
ReplyThis time its Worldcarfans’ turn to report on the upcoming R57 and get it all wrong. To start with they actually had a chance to look inside and they didn’t point the camera to the back where he would have seen the pop-up roll-bar system and the increased rear visibility. And they also miss the mark when it comes to timing. The R57 MINI Convertible will be debuting next March, not in a couple of months as they guess.
Expect more mules and info around the end of March, when MINI’s Oxford Plant will be scaling up production to iron out any bugs in production processes. We should start to see quite a few more spy shots from the UK around that time.
Click below for a look at some the best photos yet of the R57. Just don’t bother reading the Worldcarfans article.
