Baskers, we have plenty of curving roads. One isn’t likely to drive the 650 or so miles from Chicago to the Dragon on them when there are interstate highways available that will cut the travel time in half. (Unless you have all the time in the world to complete the trip for some reason).

I’ll echo what Patrick said. This video is all about a straight drive from Chicago to Western North Carolina. That means the straightest line between point A and point B. While I do agree that the US road system is primarily straight (and at times has little to no imagination), it’s a big country and if you look hard enough you’ll find some amazing stretches.

Good point, Gabe - Connecticut (and most of New England) is filled with twisties. In fact, most of the roads around here are not straight. I guess it is part of that charm that is New England. Be warned though, if you ever have to get somewhere in a hurry, in a town that is off-the-beaten path of the Interstate, and you have to take those twisties, give yourself a little time, or add some mods to your MINI :-) and watch out for the Law Enforcement Officials ;-)
