Since there is a huge shortage of new cars, I am sure these sales numbers are going to begin to dwindle until 2009 deliveries begin at some point towards the end of the year/earlier next year.

MINI has the right product at the right time. Unfortunately, for better or worse, don have the needed capacity to keep up with demand.

Interesting if you look at the full text of the release, BMW car sales are still doing up, only up a couple % from last year, but up - however BMW "trucks" (X5, etc) are down 10%+

With that latest report about BMW's sales going down here, you'd have thought they might have included this news about MINI.

Impressive sales still, given they've surely used up all their excess stock now! I moved my MINI USA sales figures data over to Google Docs to make it easier for me to maintain - but it's still published online, including the chart
