Big love for the Dynolicious software from me, best money I have spent in a while.
ReplyThe newest iPhone/iPod Touch application that is making the gear heads excited is Dynolicious. What is it? From their site.
Dynolicious is the first automotive performance meter available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Dynolicious uses the hardware built-in to your iPhone to measure the performance characteristics of your vehicle. No external wires or equipment is necessary, simply slip the iPhone into a cradle or cupholder and go!
It’s available in the App Store for $12.99. But how does it stand up to the $150 G-Tech and the dyno? The guys over at Garage419.com take it to the track to find out.
Pretty impressive if you ask me.

ReplyI tried it last night. Hopefully, I am doing something wrong as it only is saying I was pulling 7.25 0-60 and I have 146 Peak HP at the wheels (no correction). That would not be horrible except I have a 15% pulley. Seems like I should be seeing another 10 or so HP at the wheels. I was only able to do a 1000 foot run so I will find a better place to go next time.
ReplyDynolicious is awesome.
My latest run…
0-60 7.07 Peak Horsepower 147hp
