The MINI is a genuine premium car also when it comes to luxury and safety, the top score of five stars in the Euro NCAP crash test achieved by the MINI Cooper clearly confirming the comprehensive concept of occupant safety that MINI has to offer.

I have seen the gearshift indicator working and it is very bright and annoying. I don’t recommend this item if optional.

I quickly scanned and read the header - The mid-engine concept - and nearly cr@pped my pants. Then I realized it was part of the endlessly recycled Cooper history section.

My dream of a mid-engine rwd Mini a la the Renault R5 Turbo was momentarily floated on a sea of possibility, then dashed mercilessly on the rocky shores of reality.

The release talks about regenerative braking, selective charging, and start/stop being standard on all Minis. Is this only the case in Europe? I would LOVE these Stateside.

Theres a bit in there about a standard issue gear shift indicator that appears on the OBC screen on the tach. Is this exclusive to europe or is this coming to the US too?

“equipped with an electronically controlled locking function for the rear axle differential” … so these cars are rear wheel drive now?! They kept that quiet ;)
