MINI of Manhattan is sponsoring a hospitality tent and a chance to meet up with other MINI owners during the Vintage Festival at Lime Rock Park September 4th through the 7th. You can check it out below and even add it to your Facebook profile. Here are the details:
>As we have done for the past two years, we’ll be doing our hospitality bit on Monday the 7th, complete with a shady tent and a sweet spot next to the track to watch the racing, refreshments, and *hopefully* some track time. More on this to come.
>New this year is an invitation for clubs (that’s us!) to join on Sunday the 6th for the car show portion. They are offering each club space on the track – at no cost – to display their cars, recruit new members. etc. They’ll also give prizes for the best cars in class. Sunday has turned into a great fun day, great cars, big crowds, lots of fun.
They’re hoping to line the ENTIRE track with cars this year, so if you’re interested in showing your MINI along with some VERY prestigious vintage race and street cars, this is your chance!
If you haven’t been before, be sure to check out threads on NEMINI.org from previous years to get an idea of just how much fun this event is:

Be sure to tell them MotoringFile sent you.

For anyone who can’t make Limerock…or can’t wait for September…there is also the Vintage festival at MOSPORT (this year featuring Mini and MINI alike)
the MINI portion is called MINI MEET NORTH
http://www.minimeetnorth.com/
It is gonna be big, and it is also sponsored by MINI Durham

Forgot to mention, MOSPORT (for those who are not familliar) is North of the boarder…

So let me get this straight? Its free for MINI people this year?

I went last year and rally-ed from BMW of Manhattan up there, and it was I think $50 a person since we bought the tickets online to get into LimeRock.

@Melis
The only free parts I can read out of this are
– free hospitality tent, sponsored by MoM
– Clubs get free space to promote themselves during the Sunday car show

The tickets will need to be bought, however, in the last 2 years LRP gave special pricing. MoM will update us with these details when they are known.

I think it is great that MoM and especially James as the organizer are still holding on to this event, considering that a lot of companies scrapping such events.

I believe the space on the track for the various car clubs will be gratis, but there will be discounted tickets available for your admission. This event has been a blast the last two years, even with the reduced parade laps last year. Lime Rock is my favorite track for both driving and spectating. Headed there this Saturday with PDA, and am looking forward to this event at the end of the summer. Many thanks to Mike at MINI of Manhattan for putting this together…again!
