Announced this past weekend at MINI United 2009 were 2 new models, the Mayfair and Camden. Below are the specifications for the UK market.

MINI Special Edition Hatch Models 26 May 2009

We are delighted to announce the release of two Special Edition Hatch models to celebrate MINI’s 50th Birthday: The MINI 50 Mayfair and MINI 50 Camden.

These special edition models will be available for the MINI Cooper, MINI Cooper D and MINI Cooper S Hatch models only.

Production Production for the MINI 50 Mayfair and MINI 50 Camden Special Editions will commence from Production Week 32 (week commencing 1 August 2009), and finish in August 2010. Although the production period is limited, production numbers will not be restricted.

I do think the wheel designs are improving. The flat ones are very interesting. Although they don’t look or feel like the spoked “racing” wheels we see today, they remind me of some of the early mag wheels you see on old sports cars. (ie http://loudpop.tumblr.com/post/113691328/1963-shelby-cobra )

The spoked design is nice too, w/exposed lug nuts thank you, although silver or black would be my preference.

That white silver metallic looks fantastic! I could have saved some money on ordering an Audi S3 if these were announced in time, haha.
