White Roof Radio #315

Ah, just like the old days. Todd and I doing a show with Gabe, driving a car nobody cares about, whippin’ up a quick batch of White Roof Radio for all y’all.

CVT bashing, auto maker bashing, the on-again-off-again Rolls Royce MINI, and whale penis leather. You know, typical WRR, like we like to do.

You did hear correctly. Todd and I did an episode of the Bimmercast last week. Go over and give it a listen or don’t, because Todd is going to be re-editing it for Woof 316 for next week.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone! And, for those of you not in the US, have a happy Thursday!

    DB be sure of one thing you will never hear me say “told you so” about the R60. though I am sure the smile on my face for a dieing R60 would be huge. Even at that a year more of not seeing this misbegotten micro SUV on the road is fantastic.

    So its like this. This bridger guy – the one that appears on the whos who page of this web site MotoringFile – has enough coin to buy a second car, and he does not buy a mini.

    Hmmm, quiet exit from mini ownership, “can’t afford two cars”, starts new bmw web site, buys two bmws! Have we been snowed over here? ;)

    @lavardera – Well played sir. Well played.

    @JonPD – Noted.

    I never said I couldn’t afford two cars. I needed a sedan and then I happened to acquire a classic 535is in a game of chance. What can I say…

  • lavardera

    Game of chance, huh? Well at least we’re not the only ones that got hustled.

    Just when you start to warm up about the R60 MAXI MINI… Hmm maybe the overlords at BMW may have remembered the Anti-SUV talk from back in 2001

    Hopefully they will get the next generation BMW/MINI engine right. With intake in the front and exhaust in the back, Reminicent of the R50, R52 and R53. Opposite the way of the current Prince engine cars R55, R56, R57, Coopster/Speedster and if it survives R60…

    and FYI – high output LEDs produce heat, plenty of it – and it not dissipated it seriously shortens the life of the LED.
