As a long-time 2-seat roadster driver (miata), I’d say Dave captured the “open-road-in-an-open-car” spirit even better than MINI anticipated when they launched this contest. Seeing so much of the country and taking smaller highways every chance he got… incredible. The roadtrip experiences he surely had, THAT was the prize… the Oxford trip is going to be a nice follow-up prize!

Ok, so he had to get his car rained/snowed in and probably a couple of major colds to get his prize.

If Mr. Loveall had lived in Florida, he would not have gotten the prize...

Just another reason why the MINI brand can't be compared to other brands: unique experiences. I love to see this type of content that is only possible when manufacturers and marketers get together and implement a hardware element (the top-down gauge) and a program that rewards personal usage habits.

I can't wait to see what happens with the MINI rail croudsourcing challenge in the new Countryman.
