Well, nuts…That’s the same weekend as my 30th high school reunion. My son live years Denver so I would have gone too…

Which Track, Bandimere, Colorado National Speedway?

Its a drive for me. This makes it easy for the west coast people, not so much for the east coast.

Cant wait to see the cities they pick before the central location. I heard this through the grapevine, but I thought more near Kansas or Texas for central location.

As one of the MINI5280 members responsible for planning this year’s MINIs In The Mountains I can say two things: 1) MINI has kept us in the loop on their event plans during the past couple of months and 2) We could not be more excited or happier to have MTTS in Denver 3 days before our event. I think there will be great synergies and give people more reason to attend both events. Spending 3 days in Denver before motoring the 80 miles up to MITM and enjoying 3 more days of twisty mountain roads will be a huge draw. We have the lodging already set-up with Winter Park Resorts and will soon be opening our event registration. OK; I calculated it (roughly) from my door to central Denver, which equates to 3416 miles, round trip. That does NOT include meeting points/stops in between on the way there. Whew!

We’ll be there! After seeing how far everyone drove to get to MINI United last year (the MINI People caravan from Moscow comes to mind) and those classic owners who are part of the North American Classic Mini Brigade (a 5,000 mile trip in a classic) no excuse not to try- it’s only a measly 1000 miles- the question is “Which Mini?”

I’m glad and excited to hear that Colorado will be a major part of MTTS 2010. In 2006, a few of us headed over 400 miles south to catch only one leg of the first MTTS (Albuquerque, NM to Amarillo, TX). It was lots of fun then and now we’re looking forward to MTTS right in our backyard, enjoying Colorado motoring, as many MINI5280.org members have since its founding in 2002. Welcome!
