As we exclusively reported earlier this year, MTTS is back for 2010. But there’s a lot more we couldn’t tell you until today. First off here’s the official release from MINI USA with some information around dates and locations:
>This summer MINI Takes the States is meeting in the middle (well kind’a , sort’a ) for a fun-filled weekend in Denver, Colorado, August 13-15.
>This MINI weekend is all about motoring, fans, community and fun as MINI Takes the States in 2010. This year’s event will kick-off with 5 big rallies from Atlanta, New York, San Francisco,
Los Angeles and Chicago as motorers and enthusiasts rally with the all new MINI Countryman to the mile high city.
>Mark your calendars and hold on to your seats as MINI Takes the States in 2010.
But the really exciting thing for us at MotoringFile is that we’ll be a big part of not only the main event in Denver but each of the five rallies leading up to the final weekend. Be sure to check back with MotoringFile and Whiteroofradio for further updates.

Looking forward to seeing everyone here in Denver!

No Boston rally? Oh well. I’ll see if I can make it to New York!

Lol and the Pacific NW is left out again. 640 mile drive just to get to the start of a rally point. Oh well, still will have to look into it.

Fully expect to see the R60 at the event

Really glad for the MINI5280 folks. The convergence of MTTS and MITM is a win for everyone, and a chance for those who’ve never been to MITM to experience one of the best organized MINI events there is — not to mention the Western Dragon, Mt. Evans, Independence Pass, Berthoud Pass, etc., etc., etc… More great motoring roads than you can shake a torque wrench at.

“This year’s event will kick-off with 5 big rallies from Atlanta”

“…from Atlanta”?! Methinks I will REALLY look forward to this year’s MTTS…

Plus,it will give Me a chance to catch up with the good folks at AtlantaMINIs car club. http://www.atlantaminis.net/

Alright Atlanta!! Now there is a MTTS event in the center of the Southeast. Can’t wait!!

@ Evan, I figured it would be NY this time as last event it was station in Boston, Oh well, I’ll have to see if I can make this. I realllly want to but classes may not permit.

I’m looking forward to learning the routes planned for each city, (especially New York), to see if the convoy of MINIs will get close enough to where I live to join in… Hopefully these individual routes will get posted soon.

Hey Todd, Lets see those rallies from Chicago, Atlanta and New York meet up in KC for the big run down I-70 to Denver with your GP leading the way!

Rally alongside the Countryman eh? Very cool!

I’m hoping I can make it to the New York rally… That is the closest to Ontario, Canada. Depends on if my new job will let me go ;)

New York is good for me.

Leave Texas in August and head to the mountains? Win Win

See you in Chicago. Hope this includes a stint at Road America!

As we mentioned on the previous article, MINI5280 is thrilled to have MTTS in Denver and even more so that it is the same weekend. Look for a lot of overlapping activites both in Winter Park (home to MITM) and Denver. Friday MITM will be hosting the MTTS crowd in Winter Park with a BBQ and cocktail and Saturday will find MITM heading down the hill for Denver activities with MTTS. You may have heard but I’ll confirm for you: registration in MITM will get you credentials for MTTS as well and our vendors will get the same benefit too. I suggest you look at our website (www.MinisInTheMountains.com)for great room rates in Winter Park (1 hour from Denver but a better view) and to register for MITM when we open it (soon).

Just bought my first Mini love it.
Does anyone know when the Rally will be in the New York area?
Looking forward to meeting my Mini Family.
