2 take Burnside, that what they call me down at the shop. As soon as I remembered how to start a show, we do a little pimping (**go White Roof Radio!**) and Todd explains his current Facebook absence. Then, we get into news from Motoringfile.com. There was some fun with web site addresses too, but you’ll have to listen in.

We are rolling into our Christmas schedule. No new show next week, but we will have a new show for you on January 03, 2011. Then White Roof Radio and Motoringfile will be off to the Detroit Auto Show for first hand coverage of the MINI Coupe, the Pressman Concept and anything else cool that’s going on in D-Town!

Very excited to see the Dakar race with this, still this is not a MINI. It may have some tiny superficial parts of the R60 body attached to a Dakar racer.

and the VW toureg Dakar racer does??? or any other Dakar Racer for that fact??? What is your point?

My point to to cheer for a team not the faux body on top of a Dakar racer. Cheering for this being a MINI entry into Dakar would be as close as sticking a MINI sticker to the front of a 747 and saying MINI is now flying.

Lol, you posted the same or very similar post in another Dakar article. I can understand your point to a degree but I do not see why it was necessary to post it. It is associated with MINI, so I say, GO MINI! Not, “well the control arms were fabricated by a a 3rd party in Dublin and you cannot buy that aero kit, therefore it is not a MINI.” Go get some ice cream and chillax, why so serious?

Just finished listening and now I’m VERY concerned about the condition of the engine on my 07 R56S. The only reason I’ve not kept up on the frequency of the oil changes, is because MINI said it wasn’t necessary. I’ve got 44,XXX on the engine and it has had only 3 oil changes, subscribed by the maintenance schedule, and now I feel so naive and dumb for believing this crap.

I’ve kept up on the oil level only since the 2nd oil change when I learned the R56S eats oil. I’ve had no issues with this car(other than the “Cold Start Clatter” issued resolved with the new cam tensioner) and I drive normally, accept for spirited runs on the Dragon.

I guess it’ll be a wait and see at the time the lease is up on the car whether I buy it or not. I really think BMW/MINI should be held accountable for setting these engines up for failure when they don’t tell the average person the R56S eats oil, and to watch the level at all times. This, on top of telling us that car only needs to have its oil changed every 10,000-12,000 miles. Why do you do this MINI? Doesn’t seem fair at all.

…where would one find said video of the R58?
