The 2015 MINI Clubman Hits the ‘Ring

Screen Shot 2014-04-11 at 10.33.37 PM

Along with signs of spring comes MINI and BMW’s annual Nurburgring testing program. One of the first cars tested this year has been the 2015 MINI Clubman. As you’ve likely read on MF, the 2015 F54 Clubman will feature four doors, a wider chassis and an entirely new interior as compared to the F56. But enough of that, lets check it out in motion around the world’s most dangerous track.

I dont know…Is it just me or does it seem like it pushes through the corners? Not very MINI-like but its looking good so far.

Wait a sec…. back to dual symmetric tailpipe (yay!)? Thought the new Clubman S was supposed to follow suit with the Cooper S and move to dual centered pipes based on other spy shots and renders

Nope – it was going to keep the doors and the tailpipe layout. Which begs the question of whether or not it will have a spare.

Well, if the Clubman is in fact going to have an All4 PHEV version, my guess is a no. Empty/hidden storage compartment for petrol/diesel version, but battery and electric motor for All4 PHEV.

The brake lights look like they are in the lower bumper (around 40 seconds in you can see them light up)

    • John

Those are temporary brake lights, if you look at other MINI spy shots, most has these “stick on” lights since the real ones are covered with camo.

  • TurboChili

Too bad they didn’t stick with the concept’s dual center tailpipes.

I’m fairly certain that we will also see an all4 version of the R54. I was on a factory tour on Friday past which now includes the new body shop and there was a few machines labelled up for the R54 of which one stated R54 All-Wheel!!

    • http://bridger.us/ Gabriel Bridger

Yup. We’ve reported for awhile that the F54 Clubman will be available with AWD.

  • yayy

It looks alot better without the black plastic tongue in the mouth front grill look that the F56 has! YAYYy hope the clubman doesnt have that design…. Big gold fish mouth with the tongue(Black plastic bumper) front grill is ugly!!!!!!!!!

  • lavardera

I’m excited to see this. This is the car I always wished they offered first, instead of the Countryman.

  • fishbert

Oh wow do those doors look short… if you’re tall, you’re going to be sitting behind the B-pillar like in the Countryman, aren’t you?

    • SPICYJCWCOUPE

The F54 is suppose to be longer & wider than the current Countryman, as well as having more interior room. We don’t know how tall the driver is in this video, but, his head & shoulder are fully in view of the side window & not blocked by the B-pillar.

If it looks anything like the concept, I’d sell my GP for one.
