If you own a dog and a MINI, it’s likely the two come in contact from time to time. And when they do there’s usually a cringe-worth moment the first time those little paws hit the seats. Pooch Style’s car mats are intended to eliminate that moment.
We tested a black seat mat to see if it not only stood up to our tests but our dog’s as well.
When I opened the kit I could not help noticing the care that went into packaging the cover and the included information, instructions and even a biscuit for the pooch. There’s no question Pooch Style makes an effort to thank you for your purchase. It’s obvious that they are a small company who aren’t afraid to show that personal touch - something I appreciated. continued →

As quite a few may have noticed, MINI debuted a set of new JCW wheels with the launch of the factory JCW MINI. The 7×17″ R112 (as it’s code-named) should weigh in at around 21lbs and come standard on the factory JCW. It should also be available from MINI dealers around the world.
Some of you may have noticed the R112 looks somewhat like the already available R90. The R90 was created to be used with the original John Cooper Motorsports program in the UK and it seems only fitting that the new series (and the road car the series has spawned) will be using somewhat of an updated version. continued →

Official MINI USA Press Release: MINI USA and RIDEMAKERZ have teamed up to create the smallest MINI ever - the RIDEMAKERZ MINI - a 12- inch, completely customizable toy replica of the iconic MINI Cooper S - and have guaranteed a holiday donation of 2,000 of the new toy MINIs to Toys for Tots - the companies jointly announced today at an event celebrating the launch of the new MINI RIDE.
Joined by “tween” sensation Jansen Panettiere (star of the Nickelodeon movie “The Last Day of Summer” and the upcoming film “The Perfect Game”) more than 30 kids, ages 8-10, from the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club and the Latino Pastoral Action Center Family Life Academy Charter School in the Bronx, New York, are the first to build the new MINI RIDEZ. In addition the two companies presented 100 of the pint-sized cars to eight uniformed members of the U.S. Marines, who received the donation on behalf of Toys for Tots. Following the donation ceremony, MINI of Manhattan became “Santa’s workshop,” outfitted like a traditional RIDEMAKERZ retail shop featuring “zones” where kids - with the help of Panettiere and the U.S. Marines - were able to create their very own one-of-a-kind MINI RIDE.

Look for MINI to introduce three new sets of light-weight wheels designed specifically to work with the new (and larger) 2008 JCW Brake Kit we reported on yesterday.
The 17″ wheel will be MINI branded and engineered with low weight in mind. They will also be one of the few OEM 17″ wheels that will fit the new R56 JCW Brake Kit.
The other two wheels will both be 18″s and as you might guess, JCW branded. Like the 17″ MINI branded wheel, they will both be designed to work with the R56 JCW Brake Kit coming later in 2008. As with the 17″ wheels, we’re told the 18″s will be relatively light-weight in design. What that means in terms of lbs remains to be seen.
Worldwide release should happen in the first half of 2008.
