With fewer than 30 days until this year’s largest State-side MINI event, White Roof Radio and MotoringFile are getting very excited! So is MINI USA and they have provided some more details for us to share with you!
First of all, if you haven’t registered yet, or had difficulty registering, please try again! Some changes and updates have been made to the official MTTS website that should help to streamline your process. While you are there, you should also book your hotels since the majority of group rates for MTTS will be closing by the end of this week, if they haven’t already. continued →

Todd and db had the opportunity to speak with Caryn Grun, MINI Events Manager for MINI USA along with Michael Johnston, a Para-Triathlon athlete competing in the 2016 Para Olympics, live from the New York Auto Show. Details like an update to the route through Colorado and conformation that there will be an autoX component at 3 stops during MINI Takes the States. We also found out where MTTS will be kicking off from; MINI USA Headquarters in New Jersey!
Registration opens tomorrow at minitakesthestates.com. Make sure to get yourself registered and keep yourself tuned in to White Roof Radio and Motoringfile for all of your MTTS details as they become available!

Not long ago, official MTTS details appeared on MINI USA’s Facebook page. What you see above are the official route and destination dates. Here is the text version:
Day 1 – Wed July 4 – NY to DC (via Philadelphia)
Day 2 – Thurs July 5 – DC to Charlotte
Day 3 – Fri July 6 – Charlotte to Nashville
Day 4 – Sat July 7 – Nashville to Louisville
Day 5 – Sun July 8 – Louisville to Chicago
Day 6 – Mon July 9 – Chicago to Des Moines
Day 7 – Tues July 10 – Des Moines to Lincoln
Day 8 – Wed July 11 – Lincoln to Denver
Day 9 – Thurs July 12 – Denver to Albuquerque
Day 10 – Fri July 13 – Albuquerque to Phoenix

More MTTS details are being leaked. Here is the latest that should be landing in your inboxes this weekend. Really exciting news for those of you cone-chasers among us!
MINI AutoCross locations for the MINI TAKES THE STATES, the only official cross-country MINI road rally, are confirmed! During the trip, from July 4 – 15, motorers can test their mettle (and skill) on MINIcross courses in Philadelphia, Nashville, Chicago and the trip’s ultimate destination – Los Angeles. Plenty of info is still to come, so join the MINI TAKES THE STATES 2012 mailing list to stay updated.

Hot off the presses: While at the Detroit Auto Show Todd and Matt managed to tease out a few details about MTTS 2012. According to the best sources possible, we’ve confirmed that MINI Takes the States will begin July 4th and eventually end in Chicago. Route details, events and other information is not yet available. continued →

In an email this week, MINIUSA officially announced MINI Takes the States 2012.
Here’s a bold New Year’s resolution: attend the biggest MINI road rally in America. It’s called MINI TAKES THE STATES and it’s back again in 2012. More details will be available in late January, but we’ve been getting lots of questions about it so we wanted to let everyone know that we are indeed gearing up for another one of our epic cross-country road rallies. To get an idea of what MTTS is all about, picture a caravan of MINIs stretched as far as the eye can see, with food, music & miles of motoring fun. Or, just check out the highlights from 2010.
We are expecting to have more details, including the date, sometime in mid-January. Stay tuned!
