Todd got a great interview with Dr. Kay Segler, MINI Brand Manager Worldwide, at the Detroit Auto Show this past week. Dr. Kay was in a great mood talking with Todd about all great things MINI, including hints of a possible reboot of the JCW MINI GP.

Something funny happened after Michael and I finished our last podcast for BimmerFile. We started talking MINIs. And as we’re prone to do, we quickly started talking about future cars and the direction of the brand. What followed was the most efficient use of ten minutes possible to MINI fans. In short we break down when you’ll see the next generation MINI, what will be under the hood, and what will happen to the rest of the MINI range through 2015. You will not want to miss this one. continued →

Gabe, Todd, Chad and db doing what they do best; Talking about Cadillacs. And MINIs, especially our favorite The Clubman. We all really like it quite a bit, especially in Hampton trim as Gabe caught view of last week.
Also welcome Otto’s MINI of Exton to the sponsor roster. Thank them further by making plans to visit on Friday, January 13th 2012 as they celebrate their grand opening in this new location! If you are looking for even more of a reason to hang out a brand new MINI dealership, Todd and I will be there all day! Doing what we do and sharing with the rest of the MINI Community. Hope to see as many of you as possible, especially between 6:00p and 8:00p. We’re told that’s when the party will be happening!
One more show before the new year and we are going to try to do it live. Follow along on the Twitter for more details.

News from Motoringfile.com and Ask Chad, just the way you like it. We do spend a fair amount of time talking about MINI Connected this week and have all come to the conclusion that it’s a pretty good deal and the potential is there for some very cool stuff. A couple of Ask Chad questions have the queue almost empty, so you should get those questions in!
A little event news. For those that missed it, the dates for AMVIV 9 have been announced. You know where to find the WRR/MF crew June 14 – June 17, 2012, right? That’s right, Vegas baby! Expect a lot more event news in the very near feature!

Last week Todd and I sat down virtually with Vinnie Kung, MINI USA Product Manager on the occasion of the LA Autoshow. As usual when we sit down with Vinnie, we talked about everything MINI. From the new Roadster to the B Spec race car to clutch feel in the Countryman. And even why some Americans want MINI’s largest vehicle even bigger. As usual Vinnie was candid and eager to answer almost everything we threw at him. You can see a quick list of what we discussed after the break. continued →
